WHAT PROJECT WAS MADE OUT OF THE K143,000 PUBLIC DONATIONS?
This Issue Of Donations Which Brian Mundubile Has Brought, It Has Reminded Me The K143,000 Which Residents Of Kabwe Contributed Through The Office Of The Then Mayor Mr Patrick Chishala In August 2022.
After This Money Was Contributed, A Town Hall Meeting Was Called And Chaired By The Mayor To Handover The Money To Council And Also To Decide On How The Money Will Be Used.
The Residents Of Kabwe Suggested That The Money Be Used To Build A Mourners Shelter At Central Hospital Near The Mortuary.
After That Suggestion Was Made, The Mayor Even Went To Central Hospital To Seek Consent From The Hospital Authority Which He Later Said The Go Ahead To Construct The Mourners Shelter Has Been Granted.
Surprising It Was Later Discovered That Under Kabwe Central CDF That Mourners Shelter At Central Hospital Was Approved For Construction Using CDF.
After That Discovery , The Plans Of Using The K143,000 To Build The Mourners Shelter Was Abandoned.
Till Today The Public Has Never Been Updated On How That K143,000 Was Used And Which Project Was Made Out Of It .
If Another Project Was Picked In Place Of The Mourners Shelter, The Public Was Supposed To Be Updated Especially That The Funds Were Raised Through Donations.
